Creating A More Inclusive Bow Valley: Your Voice Matters!

What is something you want local governments, businesses, and community groups to do to help make the Bow Valley more welcoming and inclusive?

In the Bow Valley, our community is growing with people from around the world.

We want to hear your ideas about how we we can create a more welcoming and inclusive Bow Valley, so that everyone can thrive and know they belong here.

How Can The Bow Valley Be More Inclusive?

We are doing community research to better understand the needs and experiences of immigrants and newcomers in our region. The 2024 Immigrant Inclusion Report will help us identify key areas for improvement, including how local workplaces can be more welcoming and inclusive.

To help create workplaces where everyone feels like they belong, we started the Workplace Inclusion Charter (WIC). This program encourages local businesses to take actions that support diversity and build more welcoming and inclusive workplaces. Through the WIC, workplaces learn about and action intercultural competence. They also connect with local newcomer-serving agencies, better support employees’ communication preferences, and more.

Your input can help create the next Workplace Inclusion Charter program.
